"BarCamp Charleston is all about participation not observation"
BarCamp Charleston is the ad-hoc, user generated "un-conference" where those attending determine what will be presented throughout the day. Sessions, discussions, demos and interaction occur from everyone attending, not just a pre selected panel of speakers. BarCamp Charleston provides local area techies, developers, designers, and entrepreneurs with an open environment for learning and sharing.
And, unlike conventional conferences, BarCamp is 100% free! (*see note below)
BarCamp Charleston is typically geared towards technology topics, but considering all of the creative diversity in the Lowcountry, we want to broaden the scope and encourage all digital artists, writers, designers, non-profits, and more to participate.

*please note: BarCamp is free as long as we have sponsors! We're an all volunteer planning team, putting on a free event, so we need help from local companies to cover items like table/chair rental, breakfast/lunch, venue, coffee/water/snacks, tshirts, signage, etc. Please contact us for more information!
