Blogging was all the rage back in 2007...wasn't it?  Doesn't everyone blog now?

Blogger, Wordpress, Drupal, MoveableType, etc., etc.....the list goes on.  All of these platforms are great and offer so much extensibility from a personal website to a full-on portal, but as a developer, wouldn't it be nice to use the tools we use everyday to write our posts without the hassle of leaving the command line or our IDE of choice?

If you're familiar with the basics of Git and know a little on the command line...or have the intiative to learn, then this is the blogging platform for you. (you also have to install Ruby 1.9.2)

In this session, I will introduce you to the basics of getting started and go through the process of standing up a blog in a short amount of time.
