Description: 

The Qt API provides a powerful and mature system for building cross-platform (Mac, Windows, Linux) applications in a number of languages.  It includes support for GUI development, networking, 2D graphics, scripting, SQL support, and a slew of other great features.  And there's an embedded version!  And you can develop for Nokia's S60 platform (over 80 million devices) and Windows CE.

Best part?  It's open source, licensed under the LGPL.  This means there's no cost to develop with it or distirubte apps using Qt, even for commercial use.
