Old Microsoft XBOX modifications HOWTO demo

This is a demonstration of the actual modification process done to change the way a Microsoft XBOX, original (black brick) can be booted. so that unsigned code can be used instead of the default dashboard.

These inexpensive Gaming consoles run for about 35-60$ in functional condition, and can be converted into very useful media players connected to regular television sets as well as network accessible storage by increasing the hard drive size from the default 7-10gigabyte drive that is already installed.

the purpose of modification is to unlock the console to potentially become that in which it was designed to be, plus add the features of a standard inexpensive computer that can do much more.

this process takes approximately 50 minutes. but I can compress the time by using slide show images of the areas that need to be modified, so that I'm not using a camera to zoom in on the modification process itself.

I will simulate this process and show the tools needed to the job. and discuss it. while I take questions.
